"Perchance to Dream.."

There is something so peaceful about seeing a sleeping child. I enjoyed painting the details in the pillow and the child's blouse. Oil 18 x 24

"In His Eyes"

This painting is an 11 x 14 oil. This man, Paul, has such an interesting face. I titled it "In His Eyes" because I can see the love of Jesus, 'in his eyes'. It

is one of my favorite paintings. ..and such fun to paint.

One Sunday Morning

On Mother's Day morning I saw a man driving this horse pulling a wagon on the road in front of our house. I grabbed my camera and caught up with him. He had recently bought the horse and wagon in Amish country. The horse was a Standardbred. What a beautiful sight it was. I am a portrait artist and have a tendancy to zoom in on subjects. I hope to paint one of the horse and wagon soon.

'Tween

I just completed this oil painting entitled, 'Tween. It represents a young girl who is nine years old, approaching teenhood. I tried to achieve texture by using brushstrokes with different colors...not very much blending. I like the light shining through the window and the reflections in the shadows. It is loosely done and was very enjoyable to paint.
